Epiphany is proud to announce that our founder and CEO, Suranjan Shome, has been named a 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist. This honor is a testament to the impact of his vision for providing K-12 schools with an innovative approach for affordably managing their rapidly escalating IT needs. Epiphany's services not only help provide K-12 schools with technology support and solutions, but also help them become better educators through the implementation of that technology in the classroom.
Suranjan’s leadership has helped drive the standard of Managed IT Services to new heights, and as a result, Epiphany has grown from five employees to almost 100 employees in just a matter of a few years. This rapid rate of growth is also an indication of the robust need that schools have for the services Epiphany provides.
It is an honor to be simply nominated for such a prestigious award, and it is no easy task to become a finalist. During a thorough application and interview process with both the candidate and selected references, nominees must effectively demonstrate how they have turned their visionary idea into a successful enterprise. EY received over 1,400 applications this year, and only a handful were named as finalists.
While Suranjan has been honored with numerous awards over the last five years, the real evidence of his entrepreneurial talents is in his day-to-day leadership and Epiphany’s success as an emerging market leader in the K-12 Managed IT Services space.
When asked to comment on this recognition, Suranjan said, “Entrepreneurship is the ultimate TEAM sport where employees, partners, customers, friends and family play critical roles for achieving success. It is not something you can do by yourself.”
All of us here at Epiphany are very proud of this honor and would like to congratulate Suranjan on this notable accomplishment.
